Test der Zotac Geforce GTX 580 AMP! Edition

  by Friedrich Stiemer (pcwelt.de) - Mär 2012

pcwelt.de

Zotacs Nvidia Geforce GTX 580 AMP! Edition kann mit der neuen 7000er-Generation von AMD nicht mithalten? Denkste! Die übertaktete Grafikkarte braucht sich trotz ihres Alters in puncto Leistung nicht vor der roten Konkurrenz zu verstecken. Nur die...

Test: Zotac Geforce GTX 580 AMP! Edition (Grafikkarte)

  by Florian Holzbauer (chip.de) - Feb 2011

Extrem schnell ; Akzeptable Lautheit ; Sehr zukunftssicher

Ansonsten...

Zotac GeForce GTX580

  by Robin Liebl (awardfabrik.de)

Zotac GeForce GTX 580 review

  by Nikhil Pradhan, (pcadvisor.co.uk) - Feb 2011

pcadvisor.co.uk

The Zotac GeForce GTX 580 is Zotac's take on what nVidia is marketing as the most powerful single-core graphics card. Can nVidia's trump card beat AMD's offering in the form of the Radeon HD6970?

The Zotac Geforce GTX 580 outscores all available graphics cards in the market today and does so without making too much noise or generating uncomfortable levels of heat. Even though it might be expensive at £369, it is, by all counts, a superior product.

Zotac GeForce GTX 580 AMP! Edition

  by (pcmag.com)

pcmag.com

Except for that dragon sticker, the GeForce GTX 580 AMP! Edition looks like an identical twin to Nvidia's reference model. It's 10.5 inches in length; long enough that it won't fit in every case out there, but not irresponsibly so. It has a beveled...

Outstanding performance. Includes copy of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Expensive. High power usage. Blocks an additional expansion slot. May be too long for some cases. Requires hefty power supply and two connections from PSU

Like most Nvidia GeForce GTX 580–based cards, Zotac's overclocked version of the current king of single-GPU boards is screaming fast, madly expensive, and impressively power-hungry.

In addition to putting out a 2,560 by 1,600 resolution, this graphics card sports a max shader clock speed of 1,544MHz, and its video memory clocks in at 4,008MHz. The ZT-50101-10P GeForce GTX 580 also supports three-way SLI for work with up to three...

Zotac GeForce GTX 580 AMP! Edition

  by Jason Saundalkar (itp.net) - Aug 2011

itp.net

The Zotac GTX 580 AMP! Edition is sensibly priced compared to Asus' Matrix GTX 580 card which is also factory overclocked

A sensibly priced high-end Nvidia card that offers solid performance figures and a quiet cooling system.

ZOTAC GTX580 3GB AMP2! (SLI) Review

  by w3bbo (vortez.net) - Aug 2011

vortez.net

Award: ELITE

Triple decker cooling with 3GB of VRAM on a flagship overclocked GPU? That'll be the ZOTAC GTX580 3GB AMP2! We put these aggressive cards into SLI.

Fantastic Performance ; Class Leading cooling ; Very quiet operation ; 3GB of GDDR5 ; Included free game

The Price ; Triple slot design may be an issue for some ; No protective backplate ; No 6Pin adapter

The ZOTAC GTX580 3GB AMP2! is an all-round excellent performer. I could easily end the conclusion right there because it is very hard to find fault with a card such as this. Before we get carried away though, let's look at each section of today's...

Zotac's GeForce GTX 580 AMP²! graphics card

  by Scott Wasson (techreport.com) - Mai 2011

techreport.com

We are a ruthlessly pragmatic lot here at TR, with our value scatter plots and an ever-present emphasis on the value equation in any piece of gear we review. Every once in a while, though, we'll run across a product that strikes a different, resonant...

You really shouldn't buy Zotac's GTX 580 AMP²! Yes, the Radeon HD 6970 is a little bit slower and a little bit noisier, but it's not that far behind on either front—and the 6970 costs more than $200 less. Plus, the 6970 draws less power and sends its...

Works after Tweak

  by The Bill (newegg.com) - Apr 2012

newegg.com

This is a very powerful card that ought to last a good long while. After some basic tweaking it became the best card I've ever owned.

Works amazingly after fixing the voltage ; Handles both the graphical processing and the PhysX on the card with ease ; Runs Battlefield 3 maxed out at 55-60 FPS

Needs to have voltage fixed with third party software to prevent DX11 failures ; LOUD

WOW! This thing is seriously fast. You can feel the raw power

  by N/A (newegg.com) - Feb 2012

I have mine OC to 915 core and 1830 shader at 1113 volts. Stable as butter. Smooth gameplay in BF3, Mafia II, Just Cause 2. Amazing graphics. i5 2500k 4.5 500GB green WD z68 MSI board DDR3 1333 8gb Windows 7 64 bit Zotac GTX 580 3gb

Got this baby at "French Fries" Brand New for $509. Amazing deal for the 3gb version. And it came with Assassins Creed in CD form instead of DL ; I went from Dual 6950's 2gb (Major driver and stutter problems), A single gtx 570 2.5gb...to this bad boy....

Fan is actually not too loud under full load ; Highest temp I have detected was 75c after 3 hours of intense gaming. Just create a custom fan profile in MSI Afterburner. I also have this thing OC'd at 915 core with voltage bump so 75c is super nice :)...

eh good cards

  by Kroegs (newegg.com) - Dez 2011

newegg.com

The first batch were binned fairly well but this new listing under the same name seem to be avg 580's with a voltage bump that still isn't quite enough to be stable at factory oc. It doesn't bother me a whole lot as I'm running 3 580's on air and don't...

Gtx 580's are fast. I've had 2 of the first batch of amp!'s since jan 2011 and just got one of these for a 3rd

Like Mike said, and I can confirm, these latest batch seem to require a voltage bump to reach advertised speeds

Rebate processing got mesed up on two seperate cards from the company. Got the "you should have photocopied the documents" response when I inquired. Sent in many rebates at the same time and Zotac was the only one that had issues. Unfortunately I...

Very Fast ; Quiet ; Nice solid feel I haven't felt with any prior GPU

Doesn't run at advertised speeds in demanding applications without small voltage bump. Got one, returned it, and the second had the exact same problem

i Got it for $549 and it Came with Assasins Creed & the New Batman that Not even Out Yet.. So i Really Felt Like i spent $470 on the Card.

This Card is a Monster. I was Skeptical about it because some reviews said one of the fans stop spinning and ive never owned anything ZOTAC before. But i Am Well Pleased With this Card. My I5-2500k and 16GB of Ram Pumping every bit of this baby out......

Batman Game isnt out till NOV 18... lol

Top of the heap

  by ReddRobb (newegg.com) - Okt 2011

as others have pointed out the cooling isnt 100% perfect. I had to remove the screws holding the back of the heatsink COVER (not the sink itself, the cowling) where it attaches to the fins so that I could move it away from the fans further. This is a...

Largest onboard memory on the market ; Highest stock clocks on core and memory available ; Best of class aircooling (see comments below) ; Zotac solid construction

HUGE HUGE, I can't say this enough...this card is very wide! If you want this one for SLI be sure your motherboard will fit them side by side ; Cranks out the heat (but they all do...and it keeps my feet warm)

Not great for OC

  by Florida Dave (newegg.com) - Sep 2011

newegg.com

A good sound card - just not great for OC.

Good stable, cool card. Runs about 15-20 F cooler than my EVGA 580 SC. No compatibility issues, so far. Additional memory useful for gaming

Not as OC friendly as I was led to believe by friends. My other 580 (w/lower specs) runs a fair bit faster

System: 2600k 16 gigs corsair vengance this runs well at 19x10

Excellent card in all regards. 3 gig is plenty for DA:2 and Crysis High RES packs enabled ; Disassembled the card and applied Arctic Silver and the card now is silent. Metro 2033 or Crysis 2 is barely audible under load

None that I can think of. Await patiently for Skyrim and R@ge to see if those bring out any complaints

Bang for your buck!

  by N/A (newegg.com) - Sep 2011

I can't wait till I get my other 2 monitors for 3D Vision Surround to give the cards a good ol' workout.

I'm running 2 of those babies and the performance is insane. First Zotac Card, but I've did some research and they haven't let me down yet (not like anyone else complained). I wish i could've traded my second copy of AC/BH for another game though but...

make a standard ATX crowded. Had to remove the HDD bay on the bottom. This card is LONG and HUGE + it eats a lot of Power (6&8 pin power)
