Amazing reception!!

  by smily_03 (newegg.com) - Mär 2012

newegg.com

If you want to get even stronger signal strength, you can purchase the Winegard GS-Wing Sensar upgrade attachment, it's supposed to give you a 100% boost in UHF signal strength (which is what 90% of our DTV channels are.) NewEgg doesn't offer it, but...

This is an amazing product. Even with the antenna indoors on the second floor of our house, we're able to receive 22 DTV channels, including ones that antennaweb says I don't have a chance of receiving. This is a "green" antenna (supposedly up to 30...

Isn't free? :P

Needs line of sight to work

  by grapedog (newegg.com) - Jun 2009

newegg.com

Make sure to do your homework before buying a DTV antenna.

Lightweight, easy to install

Didn't pick up DTV signals as expected, likely due to terrain issues with installation location. Line of sight is needed for DTV signal reception, along with a sufficiently high installation above ground

Great antenna!

  by N/A (newegg.com) - Aug 2008

I purchased this as a backup to my satellite signal and to receive the local secondary weather stations. As a preliminary test I stuck it on top of a TV and after plugging in the amplifier went from zero to perfect reception on most channels indoors -...

Great reception, easy to install, easy to follow instructions. No need for a large aerial!

Suprisingly powerful

  by N/A (newegg.com) - Apr 2008

I had over 50 feet of cable and split the signal between two TVs. Most VHF signals come from 45 miles away. My address is 102 Garfield St, zip 97520. You can type it in on AntennaWeb.org and see that I have a unique situation. There are many mountains...

Directional - yet pulls in from other angles - has bi-directional feature

Decent reception at good cost

  by N/A (newegg.com) - Okt 2007

newegg.com

Note that it's clear from the product's documentation that this is NOT an indoor antenna and should not be expected to perform well under those conditions.

Picks up about 15 channels even in my rural area surrounded by trees. Lightweight and reasonably easy to install

For best reception it needs to be adjusted to point towards stations that are further away ; it's a bit of a pain

Not for Indoor use

  by Richman (newegg.com) - Aug 2007

newegg.com

I was better off with a less expensive small table top antenna. It picked up everything in the area.

Nice sleek design, can be hidden behind your Widescreen TV.

Will hardly pick up a signal indoors even when amplifier is plugged in.

Excellent Antenna!

Excellent Antenna!

This antenna is the best for it's price. We live 40+ mi. away from the tower, and we get clear channels galore. I canceled our expensive cable, and now we get good basic channels for free. It even looks better than the cable channels we were getting!

Did better with rabbit ears

Did better with rabbit ears

I bought this antenna to replace a set of amplified rabbit ears from radio shack. According to antenna web and winegard this should more than meet my needs. The reception was worse and I actually lost a couple of channels. I hooked the rabbit ears back...
