T-Mobile SpringBoard

  by Eric Franklin (cnet.com) - Nov 2011

I'm against signing up for multiyear contracts for tablets. The way I see it, the market is still too young to be committed to a single device for so long. My advice is the same advice my uncle gave me in high school: it's best to shop around and not...

The T-Mobile SpringBoard has an initial low contract price, fast 4G speeds, SD card memory expansion, Mini-HDMI, good build quality, and many useful preinstalled apps

Committing to a two-year plan still gives us the heebie-jeebies. Also, its no-contract price is $100 more than that of the other current Honeycomb 7-incher

The T-Mobile SpringBoard has the performance and features to rival most small tablets, but the price is a bit hard to swallow.

T-Mobile SpringBoard Review: Tablet Stands Apart With a Crisp Display, Light Weight

  by Melissa J. Perenson (pcworld.com) - Nov 2011

Offering an above-average display and good graphics performance, the T-Mobile SpringBoard jumps into the mix of 7-inch tablets. Made for T-Mobile by Huawei, the SpringBoard joins Samsung's Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G in the carrier's...

Though T-Mobile touts it as a 4G tablet, we class the Springboard's HSPA+ 14.4 connection as 3G. But that's OK. It's still fast. (More on speed and performance in a minute.) The tablet also supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and I was able to connect to...

Solid aluminum construction. Fast and responsive. Excellent 1,280-by-800-pixel IPS display

High off-contract price. Partial touch-sensitive bezel can be annoying. Poor camera quality

The quality of its aluminum chassis, crisp IPS display, and better-than-average battery life make the T-Mobile Springboard 4G a solid small-screen tablet choice for those looking for cellular internet, but it is hard to justify the cost when compared...

T-Mobile SpringBoard Review

  by PhoneArena Team (phonearena.com) - Dez 2011

The T-Mobile SpringBoard is not only a pocket-sized tablet, but the price is modest as well, under $180 with contract. The SpringBoard is based on the Huawei MediaPad tablet, and shares many of the same features including the 7” display and dual core...

T-Mobile SpringBoard Review: Honeycomb on the Small Screen

  by Jamison Cush (TabletPCReview.com) - Nov 2011

TabletPCReview.com

Admittedly, I didn't think much of the SpringBoard leading up to its announcement earlier this summer. Its manufacturer, the China-based Huawei, is better known overseas, and its previous tablet efforts have been underwhelming

Excellent display ; Great build quality ; Stable performance

Lousy speakers ; Subpar battery life ; Loaded with bloatware

That said, those looking for a connected tablet experience should strongly consider the SpringBoard. T-Mobile's network is speedy enough to support tablet activities, and the fact that it won't charge extra to those that exceed their data cap is a plus...

T-Mobile SpringBoard

This device does everything a tablet should do write. Apps open quickly and perform nicely. The Honeycomb UI is smooth and very customizable. The screen is beautiful. Movies look great on the Springboard. And, while the sound isn't anything to write...

Fast. Honeycomb and the 1280 x 800 pixel screen make it pretty and easy to use. Movies look simply beautiful on it's display. Also, can't beat the 4G for downloading movies, Web surfing or GPS

Pricing is a bit ridiculous. While you may pay $179 up front if you're a first-time T-mo subscriber, you'll wind up paying more than $400 for this tablet in the end at $10 more a month. The camera isn't anything to write home about either

Stupid value

  by Flyguy29 (cnet.com) - Nov 2011

Why anyone would commit to monthly services for over $800 to save $150 AND pay for data on their smartphone is beyond me. Do Carriers even THINK of the value to consumers? It is like offering a 50% off coupon for cereal that is marked up 200%.

None. Matbe bragging rights to having 24hr data on a separate tablet device

Price, contract, sell your soul for 10 minutes of fame
