it sounds ok when you install the software from the website, i recommned you to install it. the unit it self sometimes shutters but it ok it takes a little time and it fix it self work great since my mom labtop 3.5mm jack broke also works on usb hubs....

The only problem I can see, and what probably disappointed others, is that if you try to use the volume control on the unit it will wear and eventually break it. It is only a dongle, not a bolted down 2 pound device. Works great for me on my old laptop.

I got this to use a headset on a laptop that didn't have the 3.5 phono plugs. It works great. Installed easy, sounds good. Recommend the unit!

Bought this USB sound card because the sound card in my Asus EEE computer died - tried to recover it via reinstall drivers...but all failed. The USB sound card works great. Great sound from my headset. You will need to get a microphone with the USB...

Bought a refurb IBM desktop from here. Small unit came with out a sound card. This usb unit saved me a lot of hassle. Plugged it in, plugged in the speakers, and all was well. Felt like I was experimenting, but it worked.

This is the only product like this that I've seen on the market. I've never seen anything that allows for an external headphone and microphone ports. The ports on my laptop broke and I was in need of the use of headphones. So I purchased this product....
