Pretty Good

  by Bryce (newegg.com) - Feb 2008

Would recommend

Price. Decent options, nothing fancy. Well built, have had for almost a year now without anything breaking, it gets pretty heavy usage here. Probably 30-40 copies a day

Takes about 15-20 seconds to warm up after going into energy saving mode. Not terrible, but when it is crunch time, at the end of the day, in our shipping department, it can get frustrating

Stay Away!

Product while it appears to be original equipment is not. I received my order today only to find it in a beat up re-taped box and the toner cartridge wrapped in two plastic bags. The reason for the bags is obvious the toner had leaked from the unit...

Not a bad copier

Not a bad copier

I have worked in offices for 34 years as office manager, secretary, etc., and I have used a multitude of copiers over these years including the big Xerox copiers that can nearly produce books to the little desk top copiers that printed 1 page at a time...

Poor Longevity

I have a dental office; so the copier gets occasional use--about maybe 10 copies per day. In the beginning, the quality of the copies is good, but the start up time is consuming. After two years, the quality of the copies declined--the ends of the...

Sharp service STINKS

Sharp has THE WORST service I have ever dealt with. I had the AL-1551, and when I bought it I was told warranty would pay for repairs. What they instead do is send you a refurbished.... the refurbished I got was worse that the broken one I had. I...

Fine copier for the money.

Fine copier for the money.

We had an old Sharp which served us well for years until its final breakdown. Parts were hard to get, and it was very old and heavy. We decided to get a new copier and focused on Sharp again. The AL-1631 arrived promptly and worked well right out of...

Basic and functional so far...

Basic and functional so far...

We are a small business and use the AL-1631 for small internal copy jobs (less than 20 pages) 1-4 times a week. We purchased this copier because our old Canon's document feeder died. It has a short delay before the first copy comes out - maybe 15...
