I have two of these, they seem highly reliable and burn disks pretty quickly. I don't burn too many disks anymore, but this thing is just so cheap that I cannot justify buying a DVD ROM

Does what it says. Just be careful when trying to fill discs to the brim, maybe leave an extra 1GB or so left over
Not sure if it is the media I bought or the software I use (CD Burner XP) but the 4x Memorex media I bought only burns at 2x, so it takes about 45 minutes to fill a disc. I doubt it's an issue with the burner

It could be the disk or the drive, hard to tell. Hasn't been a chronic problem so I haven't quit using them. For the price, I'll continue to pick them up.

Others complain of this drive being louder than others. Honestly I don't think it's that loud and I couldn't tell when the drive was reading or idle. Maybe it's their case vibrations or something.
It's a DVD burner drive. It's cheap and works fine
