Works well. Holds my Droid Razr just fine although one of the clamps sometimes pushes my volume down button

It's not as big as the stand alone GPS pad so it doesn't have the extra weight. It does slide around from time to time. Going over bumps really shakes the holder so dash cam videos come out bad

Need to think a moment to determine that to attach the holder to the ball/stem you need to push it (slight snap-on) onto the ball then tighten the tightening nut. Instructs don't say you actually need to snap it onto stem

Bought this from Newegg for $9.99 on Black Friday. An absolute steal at that sale price - if you compare it to other name brands, you'll see that just a non-slip base alone routinely costs 2-3 times what I paid for this base-mount combo.

After more than a month of use on the wild and bumpy streets/freeways of Los Angeles, the base has not slid in the slightest on my dashboard and the mount continues to hold my iPhone in place with perfect but flexible rigidity

The mount doesn't have an extendable arm, so your dashboard positioning options may be limited. Not sure how durable all of the grip's plastic parts are, but that would be a concern with any comparable mount as well

Very stable base. It doesn't move at all. Better than my other holders which clip to vent grid ; Solid build. It is going to last for quite a while

Tilt not low enough. The angle of the sucking cup is not enough to put the cellphone upright. It is not perfect but maybe OK
