Doesn't seems like there are a lot of choice out there. Will buy Rosewill product again, this is the first Rosewill product fail on me.

The first one I bought last year is still working great but this one only work for 3 month with light usage

Got it to work

I believe that Vista is the evil-doer that is causing installation problems with this device. Apparently, Vista does not properly recognize the device and installs the wrong driver. Once it does this Vista is happy and refuses to install the correct...

It works as advertised

It took some tweeking to get Vista 64 to install the driver. The reason was because during power-up Vista installed it as an OTHER device and no matter how many times I tried, Vista would not accept the correct driver, neither the one on the CD nor the...

External eSATA port did not work out of the box. Internal SATA port only worked for 4 reboots of the system then failed. Vista 64 SP1 did not automatically install the driver, but with some assistance was able to locate it on the CD-Rom. Perhaps I...

Too cheap to be true

Card arrived and installed fine on Vista x64 SP1. Vista had some difficulty locating the driver, but it eventually located it on the supplied CD. The ESATA external port did not work out of the box with my Thermaltake BlacX SATA drive dock. The...

Love the e-SATA function. Package came with a CD (but no e-sata cable although I dont expect it), but dont bother with it. Just go to rosewill website and get the latest driver. I connected it with my new LG blu-ray drive. No problem whatsoever.

Cheap ; Works as advertised ; What more could you ask for

considering buying another for my second esata/USB hard drive... but that money can go towards a new motherboard (see above).

hasn't corrupted any data, NCQ and all the other SATA II functions work as far as I can tell

after you buy one you start wondering if you should've just bought a newer motherboard

As usual, New Egg rocks, and so does his card.

Works great, not one problem. Installation was a piece of cake in Vista Ultimate. Bought this due to a blue ray drive that won't work with other than S.I. chipset drivers. My ANM2 HD motherboard wouldn't recognize the blue ray/ HD feature of my combo...

Fast, simple, no problems so far

  by nerdtalker (newegg.com) - Dez 2008

Works fine. Nothing really special, obviously very CPU accelerated and doesn't do much processing onboard, but for this price, who cares?

Simple, fast, works as advertised ; I got this for my Windows Server 2008 Enterprise box, and it works fine. Drivers aren't initially installed automatically (no windows update drivers), but the supplied drivers work fine and without issue ; The esata...

SATA-II = 3GB/s transfer rate, but w/ PCI-E x1 that's throttled down to 2.5GB/s max. for external drives, eSATA is the way to go. wish i'd bought the version w/ two eSATA ports and RAID controller...

bought this to occupy a lonely PCI-E x1 slot. eSATA to eSATA external drive. XP Pro SP2 running on internal RAID-0 array sees it fine w/ MS digitally-signed drivers. the 1st partition of the external HD is for XP; 2nd partition formatted as ext3 then i...
