16gb in a laptop for around $200 is pretty amazing. What a great time to be alive!
Dropped into a new MBP, works great. 12GB of ram means I can run my Win7 VM all the time

Bought 2 of these, and my new Aspire TimelineX AS4830TG recognizes them perfectly, for 16 GB of RAM on my research laptop
Does not work on older laptop based on 1st gen Core i3 processor (Acer Aspire 5745G-7671) ; All of these tests with a single 8GB chip installed ; Even though the BIOS recognizes the 8GB, Windows BSODs/reboots on boot. Ubuntu Linux loads, but when doing...

I could have gotten another 8GB or $99 - I don't need it yet, and 16GB in a laptop just seems too extreme.

Works great in my early 2011 MBP. Geekbench results are essentially the same as the two 4G Samsung sticks that Apple originally shipped. Power consumption seems lower
Price. But they're coming down

The price for 16GB of RAM is still a bit ridicules, but much more affordable, and easier to justify of 16GB of RAM is really needed. The average user will probably never appreciate running 16GB of RAM, but it is a must have for any super power user,...
I purchased two of these RAM modules, to runs a total of 16GB on the latest model 15" MacBook Pro, and it has been running really well. I can now run more software at once, and virtual images without issues
For some reason, I got three beeps on the MB Pro the firs time I turned on the computer after installation. This usually means there's a memory failure. I thought the modules were either not functional or not supported, but after removing them,...
