The nominees for the 2009 Oscar for Short Film (Animated) is as weak a group as I've seen in many years.
A very weak vote for "The Lady and the Reaper" but "Logorama" will probably take the Oscar.

It was a year that firmly established Photography is Not a Crime as a national blog, going from an average of more than 700 page views a day in 2008 to more than 4,000 in 2009. A year in which PINAC was mentioned in both The New York ...

To the reviewer who compares MapPoint to Streets & Trips, he is obviously not aware of how this product was meant to be used. I have used MapPoint for many years and it is a remarkable product.
Works great with SQL and Access databases. Built-in demographic data can be combined with your own company data to produce almost unlimited maps

Good functionality But Should Have Included A GPS
I have only used an earlier version of MapPoint and even then for only in a strictly direction-finding capacity. I understood the data mapping functionality of the product but that was never a feature I intended to use. MapPoint 2009 seems to go one...

Awful as a route planner. Excellent for data mapping
The maps in this product and Microsoft Streets & Trips 2009 are the same - and both are awful. They are incredibly outdated, incomplete and error-ridden. On a recent trip, I was navigating. In a car moving at expressway speeds, the results in the...

For business, not pleasure
First off, if you are looking for software to help you with turn-by-turn directions, I recommend Google Maps or Google Earth, both of which are free. If you're looking for something a little more robust, Microsoft Streets & Trips 2009 might do the...

Still the best product for displaying geographic data, but could be better

I've waited a long time to review this product while I considered its pros and cons. I actually owned the first version years ago which I was given free at a Microsoft conference. It appears to use the same maps as "Streets and Trips" which is...
