Crux 360 for iPad 2 review

by IT Reviews Staff (itreviews.co.uk) - Feb 2012

itreviews.co.uk

Clamshell case which turns your iPad 2 into a laptop. If you long for a proper keyboard to type on instead of the...

An effective laptop conversion; can also be used as a stand for film watching

A bit pricey; small keys leave little margin for typing error

The Crux 360 is quite a useful little gadget. It doesn’t just transform your iPad 2 into a notebook, it can also be used as a stand for viewing movies, and a carry case. The keyboard is a little cramped, though, and the 360 is a touch pricey at close...

Bluelounge Kicks Rubber Pads for iPad 2 Review

  by Nir Schneider (gadgetmac.com) - Sep 2011

gadgetmac.com

We like anything that Bluelounge has put out so far including the most recently released Nest stand for the iPad. This time we've got our hands on Bluelounge's latest and greatest accessory made not only for the iPad 2 it seems, but also for just about...

At this point and time, it's hard to recommend the Kicks because of their current adhesive state. With the being said, at $11.95 I think they are definitely worth trying out. Even while I had a bit of a fuss with these rubber feet-like strips, I really...

  by Dan Cohen (geardiary.com) - Aug 2011

Our friend Tom from Aligata leather goods has done a great job of expanding his line of leather cases for the iPhone, iPad and other assorted devices. We took a look at his first iPad case well over a year ago. We also reviewed his Leather Envelope for...

Review: Aviiq SmartCase for iPad 2

by Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla (canadianreviewer.com) - Jun 2011

canadianreviewer.com

Everyone agrees that Apple's magnetic and multifunctional SmartCover for the iPad 2 is genius. It protects the screen, acts a stand to angle and position the iPad 2 in a variety of ways. The only real problem with it is it can't protect the rear of the...

Bluelounge Nest Stand for iPad & iPad 2 Review

  by Nir Schneider (gadgetmac.com) - Mai 2011

gadgetmac.com

We've seen many stands for the iPad before here on Gadgetmac from very simple ones to very complicated ones. All of them share the same functionalities. It's not everyday you come across a stand that both exceeds your expectations while fitting the...

At $14.95, the Nest is a must have multi-function stand money can buy. I think I may have found the ideal, dare I say portable, clean and simple yet extremely functional stand for the iPad and iPad 2. Bluelounge really hit it out of the park with the...

Apple iPad 2 Review

  by Scott Lowe (gear.ign.com) - Mär 2011

gear.ign.com

Is the slimmer, faster, lighter, and more powerful iPad worthy of all the hype and your hard-earned cash? Find out in our full review.

One issue I found with both Real Racing 2 HD and Infinity Blade, however, is that both caused a crash to iOS 4.3, which would cause the iPad 2 to reboot. Since both were titles updated for launch, however, I suspect the development teams had a limited...

Reviews: iBackFlip Studios iBackFlip Original for iPad + iPad 2

  by Nick Guy (ilounge.com)

ilounge.com

iBackFlip Studios made a wise choice when it selected black ballistic nylon for the body, a durable material that makes the bag look and feel nicer than in early images we saw. Almost the whole bag is made of the ballistic material, although the...

Your iPad or iPad 2 fits in the main compartment of the bag, and can be accessed by un-Velcroing the top flap and unzipping both of the sides; there’s additional Velcro sewn-in to hold the flap flat against the bag’s body and prevent it from getting in...

First Looks: GreatShield EZseal for iPad 2

  by Nick Guy (ilounge.com)

ilounge.com

Most screen protectors share the same general characteristics: they're (a) single sheets of clear material, (b) rather difficult to put on properly without air bubbles and misalignments, and (c) can't easily be reapplied after use. With its EZseal...

Reviews: Skech Booklet for iPad 2

  by Nick Guy (ilounge.com)

ilounge.com

Inside, the iPad 2 is held in place at its four corners with faux leather and elastic bands—in the same way that M-Edge's MyEdge Custom Jacket works, far from our preferred way of mounting any Apple device—over a lining of soft fabric. Because the...

In the end, Booklet’s closest direct rival for the iPad is the MyEdge Custom Jacket—a folio that received a limited recommendation solely because its custom printing was done so well. Thanks to the less than impressive elastic corner holder design,...

Reviews: Macally SmartcaseC for iPad 2

  by Nick Guy (ilounge.com)

ilounge.com

Although SmartcaseC is the best of the Smart Cover-compatible shells we've yet tested, there's not much more to be said about this genre than what we've previously noted in other reviews. It differs only from earlier competitors to the extent that it...

As the most recent Smart Cover-compatible iPad 2 shell we've seen, Macally's SmartcaseC ($30) combines many of the best features we've seen from others over the past few months. It covers the entire back and the sides of the device, with very...

Poor application for scfeen protector

  by N/A (newegg.com) - Apr 2012

newegg.com

I could not get the application to take without many air bubbles

I always hate applying screen protectors, and this is why. Too many air bubbles, and no second layer to peel off the top that usually come on better screen protectors. could not get it to work and had to discard it

Don't bother...can't use Smart Cover

  by Steenowitz (staples.com) - Sep 2011

don't bother! Not being able to use the smart cover leaves the IPad vulnerable. You are better off buying the stylus' from [@]- a package of three is [$] and they come with a connector so they attach via the headphone jack - this was a clever idea, but...

Great augmented reality game

Really cool augmented reality game! It's amazing how the environment around you is integrated with the game in such a nice way -- the balls you fire even bounce against your walls! Have already played through several levels and it's hard to stop playing.

Works surprisingly well! Had a little trouble getting going (you need to scan the area where you want to start the game at), but once I figured out how to do it it was pretty straight forward. It's a fun little game, too bad it's an ipad only thing.
