4-star rating based on price range, if it had at a slot for a card reader I would give it 5 eggs for the price range. Very happy with the case though.

No 3.5 inch bay in the front for card reader or flloppy, despite the way it looks there is no spot for fans on the front of the case

Still B, ordered May 5. Firmware gl0b, have to cross flash to 624 GL27 then up to GL29. Seems fine

Doesn't come with sata cable, make sure you have an extra

I have never had a problem with a Lite-On optical drive, whereas other brands (especially Samsung) have often let me down

Do you need a burner with LightScribe? Get it. In all seriousness, this is a good drive. No issues whatsoever; and at this price, why even hesitate? If you need something "more," then you'd likely not have pulled this drive up in the first place. But...

not as loud as the reviews lead you to believe. you can always install some rubber dampeners on the screws to catch some of the vibe.

Its a B revision, manufactured March 2012. at least as of 28th of april. works fine, and can be cross flashed to a 624 since hardware is identical

if you install ixtreme you have to cross-flash. its a little more involved and gives you more options with this drive (although i haven't used any of them)

at first i thought, man !! why is this drive so noisy and slow. but then i realized my antivirus software automatically scans my disc drive when i put a disc in. so it makes it slow and noisy from all the scanning its doing. i just disabled that...

its works great. nice and quite its a b series. but im not flashing it. i bought cause it has light-scribe and its cheap

it does what it is supposed to do.

it burns dvds ; cheap ; built well

it didnt have enough "oomph" to push open the hinged dvd drive door on the case i installed it into. i just stretched the spring on the cases door a little and it works fine now
