Mine did not come with Powerdvd, oh well. I downloaded Corel Windvd from their website for $59.00, (same price I got the LG drive for). I was hoping by now the Bluray patented software would be free and native on Windows 7 but that is still not a...
Great price for an oem drive, plays Blurays as advertised. Black color and horizontal line Matches my case (HAF 912) and lcd panel (Samsung 226BW), bonus

Used in HTPC. AMD FX4100 CPU, AMD HD7750 GPU, ASRock motherboard, Panasonic 54" Plasma. Cyberlink Software suite is complete -- can edit video, make DVDs, play Blu-Ray, play music, etc. I had not expected a Blu-Ray player or software with this OEM...
Works as advertised ; Came with Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 Software to play DVD and Blu-Ray -- Plays Blu-Ray as well as my Panasonic stand alone Blu-Ray player. Don't know if this OEM product always comes this way
None the way I use it ; It is hyper noisy when running at max speed (loudest thing I've ever heard in any of my many computer cases). However, quiet for normal operations, DVD playing, and Blu-Ray playing (quiet case fans are more audible). Basically,...

Bought this for my first build in over 10 years. Came in bubble wrap with nothing but the bare drive. You know what? That's ok cause it is OEM! I didn't pay extra money for software that is outdated before I even got it. It works fine. It is NOT loud...
Came fast. (Memphis to Little Rock, heck yeah!) ; Reasonably priced ; Not loud ; OEM, so you aren't paying for a bunch of extra stuff you might not need like BD software that is likely outdated when you get it
I would have liked to spend under $50, but what are you going to do? LOL

I was a little surprised by the complete lack of packaging. (It came wrapped in bubble wrap). Works great, just wish I had better Blu-Ray player software.
Great Blu-Ray Performance ; Great Data Performance

I'm getting 25-30MB/s when ripping Blus with this thing. SWEET. 15 minute rips
Comes speed/rip locked. You need to use LG flasher to dump the firmware and then MCSE tool to patch

IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ!!! Turn OFF any edge enhancing options in your HDTV menu and/or in your CCC for ATI or Nvidia control panel. These settings will result in terrible blu ray image quality. I was going to start an RMA for this drive until I...
Looks great compared to most drives. My OEM drive came with sata cable, molex to sata power adapter, and most importantly, it came with blu-ray decoding software. Powerdvd9 came with it...not a fan of the software but it works
Powerdvd12 is out now so obviously 9 is pretty old

I haven't noticed the sound issue in the drive that others seem to be having. I have 6 fans in my case though, so this could be why I don't hear it. (4 case 1 CPU and 1 gfx) It is a great drive for the price, and well worth it being as it is an LG. I...
Plays Blu ray and 3D blu ray, installed within 5 minutes
Having to purchase a third party decoder. Still worth it though
