I have owned my share of drives from WD, Verbatim, Sony, and LaCie. This is by far the best drive I've ever owned. No issues where I've experienced issues before (i.e. noises, etc.). It is small, great for travel. And for 2 TB you really can't ......

i wanted a seperate storage unit large enough for all my files yet small enough to take with me so all my data is available with a fast data transfer rate on a 3.0 usb port.
small size, long rubber legs keep unit stable and good for grounding, sleek, easy to use/set up, fast response time in data transfer, power source with international adapters
usb cord could be a bit longer
