IronKey Personal S200

  by Neil J. Rubenking (pcmag.com) - Dez 2009

The newest IronKey is as tough as ever and its cryptographic technology rates even higher with the government. Its password manager is much improved—easier to use, better organized, and capable of handling just about any login. If you need to protect...

Physically and cryptographically tough, to military specifications. Self-destructs if tampered with. Includes secure anonymous browsing and full-featured password manager. Can supply one-time passwords compatible with VeriSign VIP system

Form-filling software no longer present. Secure anonymous browsing feature can slow Internet access and confuse sites with automatic localization

Review: IronKey Personal S200 flash drive

  by Jon L. Jacobi (macworld.com) - Dez 2010

macworld.com

The IronKey Personal S200 secure flash drive uses hardware encryption, eliminating the need to run software on a PC and put your data at potential risk.

The Personal S200 uses a small CD-emulation partition to store and auto-run its control panel, which is used to log on and administer the drive. The control panel is portable, so no installation is required and it can run on Mac, Windows, and Linux....

Incredible little device

  by 'dorf (newegg.com) - Mär 2011

I was in the military for a while and indestructible goods are de rigueur. This might be overkill for some. However, I travel quite a bit and when you can't take a netbook or laptop with you, this little thing allows you to securely surf the web, check...

Awesome little indestructible USB drive. All-metal. Cap is rubber compression gasket. Great feature set, pre-installed software for web browsing and a virtual keyboard that can be used anywhere

Slow to log on. I don't think it can be improved much but when you plug the drive in, count to 20 and the log-in screen appears

Excellent Drive - 100% Compatible

  by Rustynail (newegg.com) - Feb 2011

If you read the text file in the linux folder, it recommends activating in Windows. I suggest that as well. Windows has a GUI, where as the linux, it is command line. Once activated with a password, the below Ubuntu procedure just works. For Win7 the...

I just received this device (not from Newegg). Out of the box it works flawlessly with Ubuntu x64 and Windows 7 64 ; Very well built unit. Rubber sealed cap that actually holds it on fairly tight

A little expensive. However if you need the protection, I don't think there is a better device available. Yes, bigger and heavier than most USB drives, but that is OK, harder to loose

Built like a Tank

  by Warren (newegg.com) - Sep 2010

I did not get this from Newegg since it is provided for me. But having dealt with them many times in the past I am sure you would be safe getting it from them.

Works with both Win XP and Windows 7 64 bit. I have an 8 Gig one that is issued from my employer. Lightning fast once you get through the initial sign-on for it. Great hardware security that will destroy the diver after a bunch of failed attempts to...

Larger and much heavier than other USB storage. But then that is a plus since it is just that strength in the case you are looking for when seeking a truly private device

Excellent

The previous reviewer either had a misconfigured Win 7 platform, or doesn't know how to use it. I had no problems getting it to run with Win 7.

Physically hardened. Went through a complete high-temp wash/dry cycle and the only thing lost was surface dirt ; Fully compatible* with Win 7 ; Works with Linux

Excellent Flash Drive Security

  by tgb (newegg.com) - Jul 2010

newegg.com

Know what you are buying and read setup carefully before you start. If you exceed the allowed password attempts unsuccessfully it fries, no recovery, no reformat, and you then own an expensive keyring fob. This is one of the security features you are...

Hardware encryption, very secure, does exactly what I purchased it for. This model has built-in password manager, FF browser and enough room for additional personal apps and data storage

No device is 100% secure on a public machine, but this comes about as close as you can get. IronKey model numbers and names are a bit confusing and Newegg tech details are not sufficient for model comparison so check the IronKey website first
