RAM prices seem to keep dropping. I paid about the same amount for 8GB of RAM on 4 sticks (it was 2x kits of 2x 2GB/ea, also DDR3-1600) about a year ago. With prices like this, it's really hard to justify NOT maxing-out a desktop computer.
