At the time I had bought this, I had just tossed it aside because I was frustrated and had already spent too long messing with it to want to deal with an RMA. How easily things are forgotten when put to the side. Oh well, not a big deal.. just not...
It might work eventually, but the systems that have the old port are starting to die on me, and newer things just don't use it
Pain to set up, I had a boatload of driver/software issues for some reason. Then it wouldnt pick up signal after I had squared everything away

For fun I downloaded iTunes and the download rate was about 200-350KB/s with about 4 of 5 bars (sorry I don't remember the exact speed and signal) ping times where some times 1600ms Over all happy, glad I still have the Unlimited Data Plan with AT&T.
Works, Netflix will stream ; Good price
The antenna looks like it could break some what easily but probably will not if carefull ; Like others have said, you have to change the APN, username and password. If it was not for the posts in this feedback area I would have never gotten it to work...

Works solid, as advertised. In fact, it gets better reception than my iPhone 3GS. I do not use personal internet access very often, so this item is great for me. The only downside is that it does not work with the included AT&T access manager. I used...
Had to use another access manager than the supplied one

You need to create a new profile in AT&T connection manager to make it work: Access Point Name: wap.cingular Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM Password: CINGULAR1 If you do not have a dataplan from your cell phone provided you will need to setup one up...
Worked flawless on my iPhone 3G 8G with Windows XP HOME edition with all of the microsoft updates. Tested at home and with ATT 3G I had 1Mb/s dowload and 1 Mb/s upload
Wish it would be USB, you need to make sure you have a PC CARD TYPE 2 Slot on your laptop or it will not work. Cannot try on my MAC since it does not have a PC CARD SLOT. Cannot find a PC to USB converter in order to use on my other laptops without the...

Works great so far on Windows XP ... up to 7 Mbps speed! The advice from one of the reviewers really works (thank you!) -- create a new profile in AT&T connection manager to make it work, etc...
Inexpensive ; Easy to set up ; Fast GSM speed ; Uses your subscription's existing connection ; No extra monthly tethering fees
Works only on laptops with PCMCIA slot

Installer would not install. Said I had to contact my administrator (I assumed from AT&T). Tried just letting the computer find the installer on the CD that came with it. Supposedly it installed the driver but I was unable to get any network...

PCMCIA instead of USB. This is my only PC Card device so I don't have to worry about fishing it out of my laptop bag when I need it - it's always plugged in. That frees up a much needed USB port for one of the other million gadgets I tote around in my...
CHEAP! Reception on this thing is as good, or better, as my USB model. Works flawlessly (and FAST) with ATT. Antenna seems flimsy but I whacked it pretty good and it didn't break so there's another egg
My D630 has the PC slot in the front left corner so the incessant blinking of the LED is near impossible to ignore. I'll apply a piece of electrical tape when I get home lest I succumb to a light induced seizure
