A Powerful little amp indeed! Matched this with the new 2010 Alpine type r 12" 1243D DVC subwoofer, a sealed .99cu ft box and it's clean. This amplifier puts out a true *certified* 500W RMS unlike many other "budget" amps that can't meet their claims.

Looks like some people are reviewing Amazons service and not the amp itself. This is a good solid amp for running a single 12 or maybe two 10's. You're not going to get thunderous knock you can hear 5 blocks away but that's not what Alpine is selling...
