AFT XM-35U BLACK USB 2.0 Kiosk Card Reader (3.5")

Perfect for all my media and memory cards

If you don't a floppy disc slot you may have to buy this BYTECC Bracket-525 3.5" Drive/Device Transfer Bracket For 5.25" Drive Bay ; Which is not bad in price

GREAT

  by N/A (newegg.com) - Jan 2012

newegg.com

For some reason many card readers do not read cards past 8gb or some other kind of limitation. This does not have those issues. It read my 32gb HCSD card without problems. I can put a XD card at teh same time and swap images across one antoher ;...

Price, and it should come with a drive adaptor. The newer afts have been made in the 5.25 form factor ; But this pc has an old case so an adaptor was not needed

NewEgg's Shipping & Handling speed, plus their return RMA speed are amazing... Their customer service keeps me coming back!

Great, durable card reader

  by IowaMan (newegg.com) - Dez 2011

It has only been three months. Seems to be running fine, hopefully it last a long time. You get a solid card reader for a reasonable price.

Sleek, black bezel looks great in my piano black PC tower ; Seems solid and well built ; Color coded slots makes it easy to quickly find the right slot ; Has a convenient micro SD slot ; Love the bright blue LED ; Long cable for easy installation in...

USB port is tight. Don't want to push or pull a flash drive to hard ; You have to go to 'My Computer' and right click on the slot with the card or the USB port and "Eject" it. Otherwise you won't be able to use the reader until you reboot ; All ports...

AFT XM-35U BLACK USB 2.0 Kiosk Card Reader (3.5")

  by Lupinia (newegg.com) - Dez 2011

I actually mounted this to my desk, just above the keyboard tray, instead of in my case. Keeps the case's exterior less cluttered, especially on a rather compact case with only a couple drive bays, and it's a much more convenient location, since my...

Well-labeled ; Decent speed, excellent reliability ; Micro-SD slot is an excellent feature, saves me from having to go digging for an adapter every time I want to dump photos from my phone or move data on and off my thumb drive

Unfortunately, it's not the most stylish card reader, very function over form, but it's really not that big of a deal ; The USB port, for some reason, is practically useless. When I plug something into it, and unplug it, I can't plug anything else...

I like it

  by N/A (newegg.com) - Okt 2011

Data transfer speed is much better with this reader than with the previous two I have owned. Easier to insert cards, cards are held solidly, no guess-work about what slot to insert a card into. The drive icons make it very easy to figure out which...

Seems well-built. Reads my XD cards. Dedicated Micro-SD slot. Quick. Works with Windows 7. I love the custom drive icons

The blue light is bright, but I don't care with my setup

1 Year Later, Still Working Fine

  by jpw (newegg.com) - Aug 2011

I put together a new computer in the fall of 2010, and had a 3.5"-slot card reader included in it. It cost about as much as the AFT XM35U, but failed to work with Linux, despite being a regular-old USB device. So, I swallowed the cost of that old...

Large number of supported cards ; Extra USB port included with the reader ; Works just fine with Linux

The blue front-panel LED is very bright, as many have said. But this is more of a minor annoyance

Working great so far!

  by Oldsmobile_Mike (newegg.com) - Aug 2011

Working perfectly connected to the "Flexbay" motherboard header on a Dell 990 minitower system. Why are so many manufacturers going away from including external 3.5" drive bays, however? Had to use a 5.25" to 3.5" adapter! :-( 3.5" bays are perfect...

Love the look of the the thing - yes, it's a little bit "tacky" with the different colors, but I think it gives the computer a little flair, and also makes it easy to identify the ports. Like that the manufacturer thought to include the added touch -...

Good Reader, only one USB

  by GeekStick (newegg.com) - Mär 2011

newegg.com

I bought one of these before for a friends computer and I thought it was expensive, but I went back and bought another one because it looked so good and worked so well, and I like the blue light. I wanted to put something in the floppy slot since my...

This reader is very well built and has a solid feel for the card slots. It looks very nice with the colored slots and it is easy to install with the Mother Board USB to USB connection on the reader

This reader only has one USB
